I was born in 1959 in Whiston Village, Merseyside, went to Whiston Higher Side Comprehensive School. Left school in 1975 worked in a bakery then to an asbestos factory for five years, then onto various jobs which gave me experience with training people to where I am now teaching young offenders this, is enjoyable and rewarding part of my life which brought me to live and work in Yorkshire.
I moved to Maltby from Merseyside in June 2016. I decided to try and make a difference to the town I now live in and to meet new people. I got involved with the Maltby lions in November 2017, where I met some lovely people and started as a helper with Santa’s sleigh collecting donations and a casino to raise funds. I got the information at the Rotherham summer show 2017 then I contacted John of which he invited me to come along to the Christmas lights switch on fundraising event. I do look forward to more events this year and to volunteer my spare time to help our community and to get to know my colleagues as best I can.
My hobbies are growing gladioli for showing around the country, photography and fast cars.
These are my vital statistics:
Favorite colour – Red (Liverpool FC, obvs)
Favorite food – Anything that is home cooked
Favorite film – Kes
Favorite past-time – gardening and going out to restaurants.
