About the Lions
Maltby (Rother Valley) Lions Club was formed in 1978. Our members come from all walks of life and share a common goal, to help and support others in our community, who are less fortunate than ourselves. Meet our members >
We hold regular business meetings every 1st and 3rd Monday evening at 7pm as followed:
1st Monday of the month – The Manor Hotel, Braithwell Road, Maltby S66 8JT
3rd Monday of the month – The Travellers Rest, Main Street, Brookhouse, Sheffield S25 1YA

Facts about Lions Internationally
From their origins in the United States in 1917 Lions Clubs have grown to be the largest voluntary service clubs organisation in the world. There are now almost 1.5 million members belonging to over 40,000 Lions Clubs in over 180 countries.
The UK and Ireland has nearly 1,000 clubs with around 21,000 members.
Fellowship both local and worldwide is a central belief of clubs. Members come from all walks of life, united in a common aim of helping those less fortunate than themselves.
Lions Clubs concentrate most of their activities meeting local needs, but have also provided help for international humanitarian causes, and have many health and educational projects in the third world.
