Maltby (Rother Valley) Lions Club was formed in 1978. Our members come from all walks of life and share a common goal, to help and support others in our community, who are less fortunate than ourselves. Meet our members >
We meet at 7pm on the first and third Monday of each month at the Edward Dunn Memorial Hall, Tickhill Road, Maltby, S66 7NQ.
Facts about Lions Internationally
From their origins in the United States in 1917 Lions Clubs have grown to be the largest voluntary service clubs organisation in the world. There are now almost 1.5 million members belonging to over 40,000 Lions Clubs in over 180 countries.
The UK and Ireland has nearly 1,000 clubs with around 21,000 members.
Fellowship both local and worldwide is a central belief of clubs. Members come from all walks of life, united in a common aim of helping those less fortunate than themselves.
Lions Clubs concentrate most of their activities meeting local needs, but have also provided help for international humanitarian causes, and have many health and educational projects in the third world.
