The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday Celebration Weekend 2022

Maltby and Rother Valley Lions Club would like to give a heart warmed thank you to our Queen for her amazing 70 years of service and sacrifice.

To mark these celebrations MRVL’s will be attending the celebration event on Coronation Park on Friday 3rd June 12PM – 5PM, organised by Maltby Town Council. We will be there with a Tombola stall, our Message in a Bottle stand and our new and improved Wheel of Prizes. See you there!

All money raised at the event will go back into helping out local community!

A special extended bank holiday weekend will provide an opportunity for communities and people throughout the United Kingdom to come together to celebrate the historic milestone. On 6th February this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.

To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events and initiatives will take place throughout the year, culminating in a four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June. The four days of celebrations will include public events and community activities, as well as national moments of reflection on The Queen’s 70 years of service.
