Lions Clubs International Foundation are sending aid to Ukraine

Lions Clubs District 124 Romania crossed the border to Ukraine, bringing with them 200 packages containing blankets, non-perishable food, wet towels and napkins for babies, bottled water, winter coats, and women hygienic products. Find out what Lions are doing, and how you can help >

The Lions of Krakow, Poland, are passionately serving relief efforts for their neighbours in Ukraine with an LCIF Emergency grant. Lions are providing cartons with medicine and bandages and delivering them to the border of Ukraine and Poland. Your donation to LCIF’s Refugees and Displaced Persons fund will help ensure that Lions are there to help them find the safety and security they desperately need. You can donate here >

Don’t forget that we always need help from members of the local community. Could you become a local Lion? Would you like to be part of a very special group of people who put back into their local community? Plus have lots and lots of fun in the process!

If the answer is yes then what are you waiting for? We meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month – please call us on 07585 657563 or message us.

Maltby and Rother Valley Lions support LCIF with a donation to help our fellow Lions support the relief efforts in Ukraine.

Serving from a bomb shelter, the Lions of Ukraine with a Lions Clubs International Foundation grant are providing food, medicine, and hygiene products for those displaced in Kyiv, the Kyiv region, and Zhytomyr. Where there is a need there is a Lion

Quinn is delighted that he can now return to school

This is Quinn in a wheelchair loaned to him by Maltby Rother Valley Lions. Quinn had an accident and was unable to walk. He didn’t want to miss school and his dad contacted John, our President, to see if we could help. He got a wheelchair to him the same day and Quinn’s lovely smile shows how happy he is.

Enjoy school Quinn and good luck from us all at the Lions

Maltby Lions help Maltby Foodbank with storage boxes

Maltby and Rother Valley Lions donated some very useful storage boxes to Maltby Foodbank. John Rathbone received a lovely thank you card as seen below from Mrs Reagan.

Maltby Foodbank is run by St Mary Magdalene Church, Morrell Street, Maltby. Due to Covid-19 the foodbank is extremely busy and parcels are distributed on a Tuesday and Friday. They work closely with Maltby Town Council, Addison Centre, Aldi Maltby, Morrisons Bramley, Food Aware and Fareshare.

If you know of anyone who is struggling and may need a food parcel please telephone Maltby Foodbank on: 01709 814060.

Would you like to become a member of the Lions or support the charity in any way? Message us for more information or call us on: 07504 326336

IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO NEEDS THESE PLEASE CONTACT THEM!

Care professionals are desperate for any support, particularly these essential PPE additions, as we all know the demand for PPE is extremely high and this will increase over the next few weeks.

If you would like to support them please, share, give them a personal recommendation or donate. Every penny counts! Anyone else who has got the skills to make these items please also get in touch and we will do what we can to help.

We need to raise money to purchase PPE and 3d printing materials to make PPE visors and to keep production going. So far they have purchased 2 extra 3d printers, lots of materials to make around 150 visors and purchased 50 face masks.

When the vital PPE is no longer needed they are selling one printer, donating the money to Rotherham Hospice and the second printer will be donated to a local school.

Thanks to donations so far they now have THREE 3D PRINTERS! We aim to produce around 290 visors in a week if the printers behave.
