Yesterday Lions Andrew & Lynn Reaney, Jim & Jean Fletcher, Kath & Ralph Buckingham, Pam Simmonite, Keith Liddelow, Paula Hancock, Terry Ackroyd and Janice Maskill joined Thorne Rural Lions, Doncaster Lions, Tickhill Lions and Went Valley Lions on a 5 mile charity walk from the Town Fields Pavillion to Lakeside Doncaster to raise funds for the children’s ward at Doncaster hospital. As it was a family day some members also took their dogs. It was a hot but enjoyable day and we hope lots was raised for a good cause.

West Side Story

Maltby and Rother Valley Lions are proud to support the GB Creative Productions, production of West Side Story. GB Theatre School/ Creative Productions/ Friends of – offer support by providing opportunities for professional training and skills development , performances as well as travel and overseas experiences of international audiences to build and strengthen personal CV’s in preparation for employment within the professional industry.

 

 

Maltby and Rother Valley Lions are proud to support this production and cannot wait to see the cast, crew and production teams efforts as we watch the production on closing night (Sat 8th Oct).

 

 

 

Pie, peas and fundraising for a great cause!

On 7 February we hosted our pie and peas night. It was a night enjoyed by all and included a raffle and quiz to support the work of Maltby and Rother Valley Lions. This took our Christmas fundraising to a grand total of £17,000!! Thanks to all who were involved, all of our helpers and supporters.

Don’t forget that we always need help from members of the local community. Could you become a local Lion? Work, rest and play for the Lions

Alongside working hard to help those in need, Alfie and his fellow Lions know how to play hard too, and as all the Lions will tell you there’s a great social element to what we do. We’re often found having fun as a team. We especially need to take time to relax, as our busiest season in the run up to Christmas, is up and coming.

This time we went along with Alfie to Whitby. It was a great weekend full of laughs and seeing the sights. Alfie even met another girlfriend!
