Yesterday Lions Andrew & Lynn Reaney, Jim & Jean Fletcher, Kath & Ralph Buckingham, Pam Simmonite, Keith Liddelow, Paula Hancock, Terry Ackroyd and Janice Maskill joined Thorne Rural Lions, Doncaster Lions, Tickhill Lions and Went Valley Lions on a 5 mile charity walk from the Town Fields Pavillion to Lakeside Doncaster to raise funds for the children’s ward at Doncaster hospital. As it was a family day some members also took their dogs. It was a hot but enjoyable day and we hope lots was raised for a good cause.

Last night we held a fish & chip supper and quiz to say thank you to all the volunteers who helped with the sleigh runs, we are very grateful to all volunteers as we could not achieve what we do without them.
At our last meeting we were pleased to welcome Keith Liddelow & Pam Simmonite as new members. Kieth and Pam were welcomed into the club with open arms and are very much looking forward to working with the Lions.
Have you ever thought about becoming a member of Maltby and Rother Valley Lions, want to help better your community and help those less fortunate than yourself!
Despite common belief, we are not an old man’s club, in fact our members range from 23 years old to 80 years old, male and female and come from all walks of life, some working full time, part time and some of us are retired! So what’s your excuse! Contact us for more information.

On Saturday 16th July we attended Wales High School summer carnival and ran a tombola stall & spin the wheel and a great day was had by all, we also had a fun water pistol fight with the children from the stall next door who kindly donated some sensory items for our future events. We didn’t get the stall holders name and have been unable to get it from Wales high school so if anyone knows who it was please let us know.
Pictured are Lions Margaret, Josh, Janice & Lynn
We would also like to say a big thank you to Tesco at Dinnington & Maltby who have donated items to all the recent events we have attended!
