Fun and Sports Day for the Disabled 2019

Come and join Maltby and Rother Valley Lions once again for our fun and sports day for the Disabled on Saturday 10 August this year. This annual day of fun we hold at Sandall Park in Doncaster is an event not to be missed!

With FREE entry and many medals and trophies to be won the event also includes fully accessible changing facilities with hoist.

Lions Seniors Carol Concert 2018

Lovley afternoon at the Seniors Carol Concert on Sunday hosted by Maltby and Rother Valley Lions. A good time, a lovley tea and a great sing song, courtesy of Anston Male Voice Choir, was had by all. We even had a visit from Santa himself!

A great day for a great cause at Sandall Park

Maltby Lions serving refreshments at Disabled Sports Day, Sandall Park 2018

Maltby Rother Valley Lions were at Sandall Park, Doncaster on Saturday providing much needed refreshments throughout the day for the Lions Fun and Sports Day for the disabled. The day was very hard work and very worthwhile. All of the contestants with special needs had a fantastic day and were fed and watered thanks to Maltby Rother Valley Lions Club members and helpers. There were a few aching legs but lots of fun along the way for a very worthy cause.

A big thank you to our Lion volunteer helpers, you were amazing! A big thank you also to our sponsors: Sizzlers sandwich shop at Maltby, Morrisons at Bramley, Commercial Fleet Services, the Hay Nook pub at Maltby and the Queens Hotel at Maltby.

Come along to Aston Carnival

Aston Carnival, Saturday 4th August

Always up for promoting local events in the community we would like to highlight the up and coming Aston Carnival. There’s going to be lots to get involved with – a Dog show, Carnival Queen, Parade, African Drumming and fun fair to name just a few.

All are welcome and entry is FREE. And of course there will be food and drink available. The Parade starts at 11am at Swallownest J&I School and goes along to Lodge Lane. Come and enjoy the summer with your local community!

An Evening Filled with Song

Join Anston Male Voice Choir with Special Guests Sinopia for what promises to be a very special night of song. The event will be held at 7pm on Saturday 8th September at the Crossing Church & Centre, Newcastle Street, Worksop. Tickets are a bargain at £9 for adults, £8 concessions and £5 children & students (call Neil on 01909 773314 or email: tickets@anstonmvc.co.uk to book).

Anston Male Voice Choir are a great group of men who have a great deal of fun singing a variety of songs, performing concerts locally and further afield on occasions. Their objective is to bring pleasure to both themselves and others whilst giving a helping hand to a number of charities. Come along and help to support them.

This annual fun day has come round fast and we hope to see as many of you there as possible for what has been a great event run for many years. It’s FREE entry, all ages are welcome and facilities will be fully accessible. You never know you could be the winner of one of our medals or trophies!
