Donation to The Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes

At a recent meeting we had a visit from Roy Clark (Yorkshire Manager) from “Whiteknights Yorkshire Blood Bikes” who gave us a presentation on the services their volunteers do to assist the NHS by delivering free out of hours urgently required Blood & Pathology samples, Donor Baby Milk, Pharmacy items etc to hospitals & hospices in the Yorkshire area and beyond by relay if required.
Maltby Rother Valley Lions are happy to support this charity and pictured below are Lions President Joshua Spurr, Pat Harker, Steve Trown and Treasurer Andrew Reaney who is presenting a cheque for £500 to Roy.

Wales Highschool Summer Carnival

On Saturday 16th July we attended Wales High School summer carnival and ran a tombola stall & spin the wheel and a great day was had by all, we also had a fun water pistol fight with the children from the stall next door who kindly donated some sensory items for our future events. We didn’t get the stall holders name and have been unable to get it from Wales high school so if anyone knows who it was please let us know.
Pictured are Lions Margaret, Josh, Janice & Lynn
We would also like to say a big thank you to Tesco at Dinnington & Maltby who have donated items to all the recent events we have attended!

Wales High School Student Of The Year

President Joshua Spurr presented Alexander Clarke, pictured here with Headmaster Pepe Di’lasio, with our Student of the Year Award at Wales High School. Maltby and Rother Valley Lions are proud to sponsor this award and congratulate this achievement. We wish Alexander the best of luck for the future and hope that this award helps with future studies.
